the government does good work...sometimes!

well i just have to recount how positive the whole experience has been thus far. we live in nj and are doing all of the adoption and foster care work through the state. everyone we've dealt with and all of the support they've offered [both financial and informational] has been outstanding.

the way i look at it, the state of nj has pretty much removed all of the barriers to folks doing this work. if anyone has an interest and can offer a good home then the state will make it happen even if you really cannot spare any $$$. they cover the cost of classes, the isnepctions, the fingerprinting, clothing allowances and of course they pay per month for each child that is being cared for.
