and then there were four.

it's hard to believe that we now have 4 foster children! when we were licensed our resource worker said you guys can get licensed for 4. at that time, rob and i looked at each other and laughed ..."oh never! we'll never have 4 children" that was just a few months ago!

we're enjoying having a house full of kids and we are especially aware at how lucky we are to have such respectful and sweet children. all of them are gems and like gems, unique and vibrant to behold

the interaction between them is what keeps me fascinated. when alone, they behave one way but when with others they behave totally differently, like mentos and pop!

during our monthly visit, a case worker indicated that it was looking more and more that our littlest one..the 3 year old girl would likely be returned to family soon.

and that is probably the hardest part of all this. the lack of information.....one week its this and the next week it's that. it's not a function of any dishonesty or anyones fault. the reason is simple. these are human beings. the parents, the kids, the social workers. some...especially the parents have good weeks and bad. everything hinges on them.

note to self. take everything i hear with a grain of salt and believe it only when it happens.
