one goes home

so we will have a new milestone behind us tonight. tonight, one of the boys goes home to his family. it will be bittersweet for us as he has become fast friends with the other boy in the house.

we'll try our best to occupy the remaining kids with fun activities but the dynamic will certainly be different without him. fortunately, we got to spend some quality time this past weekend in the country. there was plenty of snow which the kids couldn't believe as there was no snow at all in NJ. they also got prime time on the sledding hill all to themselves. there were smiles all around...

they say saying goodbye is the hardest part. i never really thought about the other kids in the house. in this case, it will be one of the kids that takes it hardest.

Hi Rob;

Your blog is awesome and more awesome is what you and Sean are doing. Did you know Mark and Sam? They were the first forster family we knew. It's so inspiring to know people who are willing to do this.

Anyway, yes, your help with the brook is more than welcome. Better yet is that you have ideas! Please feel free to get in touch with me at pellum9@aol.com. Let's get together. Yes!

Thanks so much. Maria
